Hartlepool Table Tennis Club is also a founder member of the Hartlepool Sporting Association, with Chairman KeithThomas becoming its inaugural secretary.

Hartlepool TTC has been running for five years and is classed by the English Table Tennis Association as a Premier Club and holds the Club Mark status for quality procedure. When discussing the first year of the association Keith commented "the links and partnerships within the association have helped us, as a club, to develop further than we had imagined. With proposed new facilities in the College new build and a recognised Table Tennis Coach being appointed shortly this really is a great time for Table Tennis in Hartlepool."

Currently training and competing at St Hild's School, the club has over 100 members on its books with numbers continuing to increase. Michael Bretherick, Principal of Hartlepool College, said "Hartlepool Table Tennis Club is not only well know in the region, it has excellent international links, especially in China and that can only benefit players and students."

With participation levels increasing and new facilities and coaching on its way Keith is always looking for further improvement "One of our main aims is to increase female participation in table tennis and we hope being a member of Hartlepool Sporting Association will help us to achieve that."
