The Football Academy at HCFE is in its second year and is already establishing it's self across the region for the attractive fast flowing football demonstrated on the pitch. Under the leadership of Head Coach, Ian Clark the academy focuses on the on field development of each individual to the best of their ability and the off field success as a student.

The Academies new home at the Rift House Recreation Ground in Hartlepool provides the academy with the playing field facilities to develop. Whilst the changing room renovation, currently underway, will provide improved changing amenities and classroom facilities for team meetings and match analysis.

Each year the best 20-25 players are selected to become full time members of the Football Academy. The academy is also supported by the Football Development Centre at HCFE. This is a structured weekly training session for all students wishing to participate in football at college. With highly qualified coaches leading the development centre, players are given coaching and guidance with the intention of progressing into the Academy setup.
